Deeds relating to the site of the former Brunswick Theatre in Well Street, Whitechapel, later occupied by the main building of The Sailors’ Home.
(1) Lease for a year of the Royalty Theatre, Whitechapel, Mrs Mary Ann Stone and John Campbell Cameron, trustees for sale of the real estates of the late Robert Stone, to James Stuart, dated 8 July 1825.
(2) Conveyance of the Royalty Theatre, Whitechapel, Mrs Mary Ann Stone and another to James Stuart, dated 9 July 1825.
(3) Lease of premises in Well Street, Goodmans Fields, James Stuart to Messrs Richard Carruthers and David Samson Maurice, dated 11 May 1827.
(4) Counterpart of premises in Well Street, Goodmans Fields, James Stuart to Messrs Richard Carruthers and David Samson Maurice, dated 11 May 1827.
(5) Assignment of a piece of ground in Well Street, Mrs Ann Maurice to George Cornish Gambier and others, dated 28 August 1828.

(9) Lease for a year of a piece of land on the west side of Well Street, formerly the site of the Brunswick Theatre, in trust for the purposes of The Sailors’ Home, James Stuart and others to the trustees of The Sailors’ Home, dated 8 December 1829.
(10) Release of land and hereditaments on the east side of Well Street, forming the site of the Brunswick Theatre, upon trust for the purposes of The Sailors’ Home or Brunswick Maritime Establishment, James Stuart and others by the direction of the chairman and directors of The Sailors’ Home or Brunswick Maritime Establishment, to the trustees of The Sailors’ Home, dated 9 December 1829. Also a declaration of trust, Baron Mountsandford and others, and the Viscount Mandeville and others, dated 20 May 1830, endorsed thereon.
(11) Copy of the above made by Hawes & Udall solicitors on 23 September 1942, with an added note saying cancelled, see new schedule.
