Diary kept by Judith A. Herbert on the racing yacht TRAITÉ DE ROME; "Leg 3"
The actual diary covers 27 Dec 1977 - 17 January 1978, from Auckland to Rio de Janeiro. Includes one loose sketched cartoon and five loose typed pages. The typed pages cover the setting off (27 August 1977; this section is crossed out) and an entry towards the end of the race (26 March 1978). According to the printed version of the diaries (HERB/5) these loose typed pages were written a month after the race, in Judith's parents' garden shed at the Norway Inn in Cornwall.
