Printed booklet recording the evidence given by Llewellyn Nicholas at the Admiralty Court, High Court of Justice
Printed booklet recording the evidence given by Llewellyn Nicholas when examined as a witness in the action between the respective owners and crew of the tanker MAPLELEAF (1898) and the WAR ZEPHYR (1918) at the Admiralty High Court of Justice in London, on 28 September 1920.
These proceedings followed a salvage operation undertaken by Nicholas and his crew in December 1919, when they came to the aid of the WAR ZEPHYR after her main propellor shaft broke about 1,000 miles west of the Lizard. They towed the stricken vessel for over a week in stormy weather to reach Plymouth.
