Includes notes that John Whittle has six year on shore at Shanghai as Marine Superintendent as well as in a voyage on SS Whawpoa beginning 1st June 1890, Joined SS Tung chow 14th July 1890 to 2nd July 1894 and joined SS Poyang 18th December 1894 to 10th January 1896. In the back is a newspaper clipping about Private Whistle Signals.
