Uncatalogued: Letterbook kept by W Blackler between 1845 and 1855, merchant ship TONQUIN with small volume containing notes for purchasing cargo in Canton for shipment to America, 1841.

Between 1845 and 1855, Blackler was trading in America and China on the ship TONQUIN and the volume includes copies of letters to merchants in America concerning the cargoes he is carrying and discussing the best markets for the merchandise, which includes coffee, tea, sugar, pepper, blankets, silk and beeswax.
