Letter from Admiral Fisher to Edward Marsh, 13 June 1914, and letter from Commissioner of Sewers to Commissioner of the Navy complaining of damage done to Poplar Marsh by landing of masts there, 20 Dec 1654, signed by Willian Masham, J. Mathews, and three others. The only link between these letters appears to be the word 'Marsh'.

Admiral of the Fleet John Arbuthnot "Jacky" (or "Jackie") Fisher, 1st Baron Fisher of Kilverstone,GCB, OM, GCVO (25 January 1841 – 10 July 1920) was a British admiral known for his efforts at naval reform. The author of the second letter may be Sir William Masham, 1st Baronet (c. 1592 – c. 1656), an English politician who sat in the House of Commons variously between 1624 and 1655.
