Administrative / biographical background
DSO 1942 for his part in the Operation Jubilee, the Dieppe raid, where he commanded the flotilla which took Commandos in to attack the Hess Battery. In July 1943 Mulleneux commanded rocket equipped landing craft tanks, deployed to aid the landing of the 51st Highland Division in Sicily (Operation Husky). During WWII a level of clearance called "Bigot" was adopted by the allies. This was in order to create a smaller circle of individuals who were cleared to know information.
