Document authorising the publication of the method used for discovering Longitude at sea with seal and signatures from the Board of Longitude.
This is a document to John Nourse authorising the publishers to issue the Nautical Almanacs and Astronomical Ephemerides for the years 1773 and 1774 together with other useful tables for facilitating the method of discovering the Longitude at Sea which will be printed by Mr William Richardson of Salisbury Court, Fleet Street. It bears on the back a series of 14 seals including those of the Earl of Sandwich, Admiral I. Forbes, Nevil Maskelyne (Astronomer Royal) and Admiral Hugh Pallisser.
