Seven letters to his wife from Arthur Mostyn Field when captain of HMS PENGUIN, surveying vessel, from Suva, Fiji and Pasco Bank to Auckland, Hobart and Sydney, [3 October 1897] to [10 December 1897]. They contain detailed accounts of his hydrographical work and daily life of the ship, as well as personal information. Note to bundle:"102-108 October November December 1897. 102-4 Final banks cruise and returnto Suva. 105,107 passage to Auckland and Hobart. 108 Sydney December 10".
