Letter from William A. Bates, surgeon on HMS GENOA, to Sir James Dombrain, discussing events surrounding the death of Captain Walter Bathurst at the Battle of Navarino, sent from Devonport and dated 24 January 1828. A note says Dombrain sent the letter to Commander John O. Bathurst in 1858.
