Orders and sketch plan relating to the action between HMS SHAH and the HUASCAR, 1877.
Orders to the officer of the guard on the armoured frigate HMS SHAH for the seizure of the Peruvian turret ship HUASCAR in consequence of illegal acts committed against British subjects, ships and property, issued by Rear-Admiral Algernon F.R de Horsey, Commander-in-Chief on the Pacific station, dated 29 May 1877. Also a sketch plan and notes on the subsequent action off Pacocha, made by Lieutenant George H. Rainier, serving on the SHAH.
