Logbook kept by midshipman N.M. Biddois on board HMS SHANNON in the Mediterranean and West Indies, May 1862 to April 1865, and HMS HECTOR in the English Channel, April to December 1865. In addition to the log entries, there are numerous charts showing the tracks of the vessels and a few watercolour views showing places visited.
