Small book with Instructions and orders written by Sir Alexander Schomberg and his son Captain Alexander Wilmot Schomberg.
Small vellum-bound volume. At one end are handwritten notes headed 'Instructions respecting the order of Battle and conduct of the Fleet preparative to, and in action with the Enemy' signed by Sir Alexander Schomberg (1720-1804). At the other end are notes headed 'The following orders to be observed for the regulation of His Majesty's Ship Loire under my command' dated 1807 and signed by Sir Alexander's son, Captain Alexander Wilmot Schomberg (1774-1850).
