Journal kept by Thursfield as a midshipman on the battleship HMS RENOWN (1895), flagship on the North America and West Indies station, between 17 May 1898 and 31 May 1899; then on the battleship HMS MAJESTIC (1895), flagship of the Channel Squadron, between 4 June 1899 and 31 May 1900. Including technical drawings and track charts.
