The union which maintained the volumes became the Merchant Navy and Airline Officers’ Association in 1956 following a merger. A subsequent merger saw the union become the National Union of Marine, Aviation and Shipping Transport Officers (NUMAST) in 1985. NUMAST is now known as Nautilus.
