Anderson, William, Shipwright Artificer, 1932-2009.
The collection consists of exam papers, diaries, photographs and ephemera from Anderson’s training as a shipwright artificer and subsequent naval career, circa 1948-1956. There are also technical workbooks and drawings relating to his training at the shore establishment HMS Caledonia at Rosyth, 1950-1952. One of the diaries and some postcards relate to his service on the cruiser HMS BERMUDA, including a tour of the Mediterranean and Syria, 1953-1955.
