Account of the battle of Yalu between the Imperial Japanese Navy and the Chinese Beiyang Fleet at Korea Bay. The battle was the largest naval engagement of the First Sino-Japanese War.
The log also contains photographs of the officers of HMS IMMORTALITE and the HMS DAPHNE at Nagasaki, Japan, and small photographs of the paymaster, doctor and two other crew members of the IMMORTALITE. At the rear of the volume is a poem about the battle of the Yangtze Kiang river.
