Papers relating to the distribution of the Royal Family's prizes
The papers are likely to have been kept by Stuart family of Arran: Walker was friends with the Reverend Gershom Stuart, a minister on Arran, and left property to his wife Betty Cranford in a will of 1761. One of the letters in this series is from Walker to Gershom, and another is addressed to his son John, who appears to have been monitoring the outcome of the court cases concerning the Royal Family prize money in 1808.
