In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
HM commands by letter from Lord Nottingham that the ships mentioned in the list in your letter of 19th be fitted to sea with all possible expedition, viz ; one second Rate, thirteen third Rates and sixteen fourth Rates for service in the Mediterranean, all to be of the highest complement and supplied with appropriate victuals and stores.
Also present a List of other ships you judge necessary for Convoys ( in time of war), and to attend on the Plantations, with an estimate of charges, and in what time they may be ready.
