In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Thomas Langley, Mayor of Harwich, enclosed a certificate from Colonel Charles Churchill stating that £17 was disbursed by Mr Langley in providing Boats and men at Dovercourt for carrying 13 Company of Foot with their baggage to ships transporting them to Holland. Direct payment be made to Mr John Gough, Attorney to Mr Langley.
We desire on the application of Commander Roach of the CHARLES GALLEY that you contract with him to bring what seamen he can get at Plymouth to the said ship at Chatham, and also for what other men he can procure for other ships.
Admiral Herbert's letter of March 21st enclosed a petition from workmen at the Portsmouth yard praying for payment of arrears. Direct you to solicit the Treasury for payment of an old quarter with a new one.
