In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Extract of a letter from Captain Kirke of the SALLY ROSE at Spithead informing that when he joined the ship there was no Bosun aboard and that he had been absent two months together with his stores. He continues by stating that some rigging has been taken on board but is unserviceable while other rigging is missing or broken. He asks for matters to be rectified before he is ordered to sea. He also requires a surgeon as members of the crew are ill. Signed by J. Southerne.
