In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Phillips has informed us that the three Ketches we directed you to order up to Greenwich for taking in Ordnance Stores are found not to be in a fitting condition for Sea.
Direct you to inquire into this, and if they are not fit for Sea they are to be discharged the Service, and three other Ketches are to be taken up in their place, fit for this Service, and order them without loss of time to proceed to the Crane at Greenwich.
Whereas we have directed the C-in-C at Blackstakes to turn over from the Ships there forty good Seamen on board the Bomb vessels MORTAR and SERPENT, you are to cause the said Men to be paid on these vessels the wages due to them to the end of March past, when they are fitted and shall be at the Nore.
