In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Your letter of 29 March and survey of some provisions remaining in the Tower of London delivered there for the garrison advised that some part was defective. You are directed to give order to the Commissioners of the Victualling to receive the provisions and dispose of them. We are also informed that the QUEENBOROUGH yacht is in want of repair by a survey taken by the Master Shipwright at Sheerness. You are directed to have her repaired at Sheerness at such times as this may be done without retarding the dispatch of any other work to be done. The new fire ship which was launched yesterday from Mr Taylor's yard at Cuckolds Point is named the SPY, and the other built by Mr Gerssingham the SPARROW.
