In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have ordered the hired ships BERKLEY CASTLE, SAMPSON and HANNIBAL into Sheerness. You are directed to have the ships cleaned and refitted by their owners for service in the Channel, and that they be victualled for 5 months each. They are to be ready to go to sea within 14 days of this date, if it may be done.
