In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have the ST MICHAEL and HARWICH at Chatham and the KENT, NORTHUMBERLAND, MONMOUTH and one of the Second Rates at Portsmouth, which will soon be ready to be rigged and fitted for sea service in the Channel and ready to receive their men and victuals. Also, their Boatswains and Carpenters stores are to be put on board them. In fitting the ships at Portsmouth you are to have the three Third Rates to be first dispatched and then the Second Rates.
