In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
I have got all the powder, guns and casks on board the BERKLEY CASTLE under my command and have got a lighter to take out the ballast. I have not seen or heard from the owners and the Commissioner at Chatham tells me that he has no orders for the refitting until the owners come down and he says whatever then is wanting he has orders to supply from the stores, signed by Captain John Croft, commander of the BERKLEY CASTLE.
