In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

His Majesty has by order to this Board (a Copy of which is enclosed) directed that the Men serving in the Main Fleet, now going to sea under the command of Admiral Russell, should be put on short allowance of drink as well as other Provisions.
We have ordered the Admiral to put the Fleet on short allowance accordingly.
We direct you to order the Commissioner for Victualling to pay the several Ships' Companys for their short allowance of drink in the same manner as they are to be paid for their short allowance of Provisions.
