In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
An Order by William III directing that £3000 of Levy Money be paid to the Earl of Torrington for the 1st Marine Regiment to consist of 15 companies and 200 private soldiers for each company . A further Order directing that the like sum be paid to the Earl of Pembroke for a Marine Regiment of 15 companies and 200 private soldiers for each company. By His Majesty's command signed Nottingham.
