Two letters, relating to Lt. Bremer’s rescue of the FEARLESS.
The first letter is a copy of a letter from Palmer, Gambier and Hartwell to Captain Shuldham Peard, instructing that Lt. Bremer and his men should receive a payment for their exertions. The second, from Peard to Captain Boger, dated 12th January 1804, refers to the first letter and asks that Lt. Bremer present his expenses and a list of those men who merited an award. It is stated 40 of them received a guinea each.
