In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Enclosure: Extract of a letter from Captain Knapp of the NEW AFRICA Hired ship at the Nore in which he reports having been run down by a Dutch Flyboat which caused him to lose his head. His Carpenter has stated that her masts have been compromised and that time in dock will be required to rectify the situation. The Commander opines that when in dock his vessel would benefit from being cleaned.
