In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
In pursuance of an order from Captain Josiah Crow, Commander-in-Chief of the Virginia Fleet, we have been on board the OWNERS LOVE fireship to survey her defects. We find that she is very leaky both in the upper works and bottom, and very weak, and unfit for her intended voyage. Signed Jonathon Scatliff and Elias Long, Shipwrights.
