He undertook further journeys by sea and air to meet Roosevelt and Stalin, ending with the Yalta conference in 1945. The book gives details of the practicalities and risks of transporting Churchill in wartime and emphasises his willingness to endure risks and hardships in order to secure British objectives. The book also provides a portrait of Churchill, using his own words and first-hand accounts of those who travelled with him. Details of the ships and aircraft are given. There is a selection of black and white photographs. Notes, a bibliography and an index are also provided.
