A history of Tor Line, a company formed by Rederi AB Transoil and Rederi AB Rex, which entered the northern North Sea market in 1996 and operated passenger and freight routes between Sweden, the UK and the Netherlands. The Tor Line name and its passenger and freight routes were acquired by DFDS in 1982, although the name continued in use until a corporate restructuring in 2010. Early chapters cover the Swedish - UK shipping routes operating up to 1996, including those run by Ellerman's Wilson, Svenska Lloyd and Rederi AB Svea and their joint venture the England Sweden Line formed in 1964.
