A port bow view of the rescue tug Vanquisher (1899) towing the mine-damaged destroyer HMS Thisbe (1917) into the floating dry dock at Harwich. The semi-submerged wall of the dry dock can be seen on the left of the picture. Vanguisher was commissioned as a rescue tug on 30 July 1914 and returned to her owners on 11 November 1919. Thisbe's Pendent number F77 can be seen on her bow just forward of the bridge.
