Waiwera (1899)

A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Waiwera (1899) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. There are no yards on her foremast and she is flying the blue peter and a pilot flag. A small steam passenger launch, possibly the Maude (1886), is stemming the tide close alongside amidships. Tilbury is in the background.
