Wilcannia (1899)
A 10x8 negative. A port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Wilcannia (1899) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. A small awning is rigged over the walkway ahead of the chartroom. The bow of the tug Mystery (1892) is on the right and two skiffs, one with raised bulwarks, are in the foreground. Tilbury is in the background. The original 12x10 glass plate negative has been broken and discarded and this negative is a copy of a photographic print made from the original negative before it was broken.
