The eighth of a series of ten drawings, of which the collection holds nine (PAF5913–PAF5921). The printed description of the plate based on it, probably written by Pocock, reads: 'The Fore-stay-sail hoisted, is split in pieces; the Head-Yards are braced aback; and, lastly, the Mizen-mast is cut away, and dragging by the wreck of the rigging.'
