Portrait of a Dutch fireship
A Dutch fireship viewed from close on the port quarter. There are two round-topped ports on the tafferel, which is otherwise blank. The masts and spars are only lightly sketched and no yards are crossed except the crossjack and the mizzen topsail.
This is an unsigned offset from an accurate original, by the Younger, which is only slightly touched with pencil. It has been very approximately dated by the style.
