The launch of a large Dutch ship
In the middle-distance, viewed from slightly on the starboard bow, there is a large ship with only her lowermasts stepped and fore topmast swayed up. A crowd of boats and small yachts are round her. In the left foreground there is a stern view of a boeier yacht making for the ship with the wind on the port quarter.
