Hartford (1858)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant starboard broadside view of the United States Navy training ship Hartford (1858) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, while on a midshipmen's training cruise. Formerly a ship rigged sloop-of-war, she was rebuilt from 1895 to 1899 as a barque rigged training ship. The screw tug Regalia (1898) is alongside amidships. Tilbury is in the background.
