The damaged destroyer HMS Lennox (1914) with the cruiser Undaunted (1914) and an unidentified destroyer on either side.
A distant port just off stern view of the torpedo boat destroyer HMs Lennox (1914) at Harwich, very low in the water having been in collision with the seaplane carrier Ben My Chree (1908). Along her port side is the light cruiser HMS Undaunted (1914) with an unidentified destroyer to starboard. The water is very calm and flat.
The Lennox was rammed by the seaplane carrier Ben my Chree at 510am in thick fog as she crossed the carrier's bows. Aurora went alongside to remove Lennox's ammunition and stores. Undaunted then came alongside and at 926am towed her up harbour. [See Ship's Log TNA, ADM 53/34495]
A slightly 'fuzzy' photograph.
