The destroyer HMS Sharpshooter (1917) in dry dock after sustaining damage from a mine.
A port quarter view of the destroyer HMS Sharpshooter (1917) in dry dock at Harwich, showing in detail the damage to the stern. Crew in overalls are working on the floor of the dock, partially obscured by a whaler moored in the foreground. The damage was caused by a mine on 27 September in the North Sea. Her Pendant Number F57 is clearly on the stern, as is her name on the port quarter. The photograph was taken from a boat.
