Landscape Studies, Possibly Holland

Wyllie’s yawl, the 'Ladybird' had rectangular portholes, designed to sketch through. This enabled Wyllie to make rapid sketches of the surrounding landscape. In this example two different views are painted on the same sheet of paper.
