In this study, the rabbit appears to be resting on a solid surface, as suggested by the artist’s inclusion of shadow. The right-hard study is accompanied by the text “Life Size” written underneath the sketch. In both studies, the rabbit’s fur is observed through textured brushwork. A separate sketch of seagulls in flight is included in the top left corner. A tear exists in the top right corner of the work.
