Illawarra (1881)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant starboard very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged general cargo sailing vessel Illawarra (1881) at anchor or moored in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has painted ports and is rigged with double topsails, double topgallants on the fore and main masts, a single topgallant on the mizzen mast and single royals. She is loaded down to her marks. The passenger ferry Carlotta (1893) is alongside the Tilbury landing stage and the Tilbury Hotel is in the left background.
