Philip's planishere showing the principal stars visible for every hour in the year

Planisphere. two circular perspex discs rotating over one another. Top plate carries hour scale and horizon band, through the unmasked section of the top disc can be seen a map of so much of the night sky as is visible to the observer, with horizons within the region 46.5 - 36.5 degrees.
