Text in English on reverse. The battle is known as the Action at Tamana and took place 9 September 1645. Eight Dutch ships fought the Portuguese Fleet which was anchor in Porta Tamandare The Dutch flagship was the Utrecht and the other ships were Eenhoorn, Ree (or Gouden Ree), Overijssel, Zeelandia, Ter Veere and the flutes Leyden (or Leiden) and Zoutelandia.
