Surrey (1869)
A whole plate sheet film negative. A slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the paddle tug Surrey (1869) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has twin funnels abaft her paddle boxes and her boat is on a painter astern. She is flying her name pennant. Tilbury Fort is in the background. This is a copy of negative number G1662 produced on acetate sheet film which has now reticulated and this negative has been discarded.
