Teheran (1874)

A whole plate negative. A poor quality starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Teheran (1874) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on her foremast, she is flying the blue peter and awnings are rigged from ahead of the mizzen mast to the stern. Awnings rigged between the foremast and the bridge are being taken down. Tilbury is in the background. The original negative has peeled off and been discarded. A safety sheet film copy negative has been produced from a 12x10 photographic print made from the original negative in the 1950s. Negatives numbers G1868 and G2107 were taken on the same occasion.
