John Pender (1875)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant starboard broadside view of the cable ship John Pender (1875) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on her foremast and an awning is rigged aft. Tilbury is in the background. The original negative has peeled off and has been discarded. A 12x10 photographic print produced in the 1950s from the original negative is available for scanning. Negatives numbers G1913, G1929 and G1937 were taken on the same occasion.
